We are currently seeking a full-time Intermediate Civil Estimator to join our dynamic team. Applicants should be willing to travel to project sites across Ontario as needed.
Reporting directly to the Chief Estimator, you must be adept at reviewing and understanding specifications and drawings. Additionally, you should be capable of participating in tender closings in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create estimates for all civil, architectural, and structural works.
- Prepare and expedite requests for quotations (RFQs) from subtrades and suppliers.
- Determine the scope of work for all trades.
- Conduct pre-tender site visits.
- Prepare tender documents.
- Submit tenders.
- Assist with prequalification document preparation.
- Support the purchasing and awarding of sub-trades.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of estimating experience, including participation in tender closings.
- Mandatory experience in the ICI (Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional) sector.
- Experience with water and wastewater treatment plants is a plus.
