We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Vancouver, BC office. In this role, you will oversee a team of Engineers/Designers, guiding projects from inception to completion and ensuring that quality, timeline, and budget expectations are met. The ideal candidate will be an experienced engineer with a proven track record in both technical aspects and business development. Essential qualities include creative thinking, a proactive attitude, and strong communication, organizational, and report-writing skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the team, including task assignment, peer reviews, and providing technical guidance.
- Support the team to ensure all project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet technical quality standards.
- Oversee internal budgets and project delivery schedules.
- Conduct project peer reviews.
- Mentor engineers/designers to ensure their continual growth.
- Develop and nurture client relationships.
- Stay updated on technical issues within the industry and project.
- Contribute to company-wide initiatives for developing new systems and standards.
- Adhere to the company’s quality management standards and processes.
Requirements
Key Skills
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, IESve, HAP, and Microsoft Office.
- Current knowledge of technical advancements in the engineering field.
- Strong skills in analysis, communication, and report writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building effective working relationships with employees, clients, colleagues, and municipal agencies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and conflicting priorities.
- Capacity to make sound engineering decisions and judgments.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Registration and good standing with a relevant professional body (e.g., P. Eng.).
- At least 10 years of experience in the engineering industry, emphasizing team management, business development, and client relationship management
