Glycolic acid is prevalent in skincare, but its conventional sources (like formaldehyde) pose sustainability and safety issues. As the world gravitates towards “clean beauty,” Purolic Acid stands out as the first alternative matching glycolic acid in purity and effectiveness. It’s an ideal choice for luxury and “clean beauty” products, albeit at a premium cost (approximately 1.5 times that of base-grade glycolic acid).
Why It Matters
Existing alternatives to glycolic acid encounter problems with impurities and inconsistent results. Purolic Acid effectively addresses these challenges, positioning it as a highly desirable ingredient for brands that prioritize innovation, progressiveness, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Establishing the Sales Framework
- Develop and launch the sales funnel and CRM system from the ground up
- Identify prospect interactions and create an efficient communication rhythm.
- Hire and oversee freelance technical support for infrastructure setup as required.
- Provide a fully operational and scalable sales infrastructure to facilitate the company’s expansion.
Lead Generation and Customer Interaction
- Identify and connect with target prospects, such as chemists and product developers at brands or contract manufacturers.
- Utilize tools like Sales Navigator to locate opportunities and forge connections.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers to speed up the adoption of Purolic Acid.
Sales Performance and Conversion
- Conduct comprehensive sales cycles, including prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and finalizing deals.
- Implement early adopter campaigns (such as “Powered By Purolic”) to bolster sales efforts and showcase product value to a wider audience.
- Align all actions with the company’s marketing strategies to maintain consistent messaging.
Reporting and Optimization
- Consistently update leadership on sales progress, funnel metrics, and pipeline status.
- Refine sales processes and strategies based on performance insights.
Share Insights / Collaborate with Marketing
- Identify and report psychological triggers of prospects to refine the value proposition and positioning.
- Collaborate with Marketing to define the brand and explore co-branding opportunities.
Experience and Skills
Self-Driven
- You’ll require the confidence and initiative to operate autonomously in a startup setting, assuming full ownership of the sales process from inception.
Experienced
- Demonstrated success in establishing and expanding sales organizations or teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the sales lifecycle and CRM tools, with expertise in efficiently setting up systems and workflows.
Industry Knowledge
- Highly desirable: Previous experience in selling ingredients or products within the beauty/skincare industry.
- Significant advantage: Existing relationships with target audiences, such as brands or manufacturers.
Commission-Oriented
- The role begins with a full salary during the initial infrastructure setup and prospecting stages. As time progresses, the compensation structure will shift to primarily commission-based pay.
