We’re seeking an IT Operations Coordinator to play a pivotal role on the IT team, ensuring the seamless execution of daily operations, coordinating cross-functional technical efforts, and managing IT resources as needed. Acting as the central point of contact for operational issues, project coordination, and process optimization, this role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong organizational skills.

The ideal candidate is proactive, technically proficient, and ready to lead and support IT personnel across a variety of initiatives.

Responsibilities

● Coordinate and oversee daily IT operations including infrastructure, support, and systems administration.
● Collaborate with internal IT teams (e.g., Help Desk, Infrastructure, Security, DevOps) to ensure timely resolution of issues and delivery of services.
● Manage IT resources and assign tasks based on priorities, availability, and skill sets.
● Track and report on operational KPIs, service levels, and project progress.
● Assist in planning and executing IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and rollouts.
● Maintain and improve documentation for IT processes, systems, and compliance requirements.
● Support procurement, vendor management, and contract renewals for IT services and equipment.
● Facilitate onboarding/offboarding processes including account provisioning and hardware setup.
● Ensure adherence to cybersecurity protocols and regulatory compliance standards.
● Act as a point of escalation for operational issues and coordinate resolution across teams.
● Support regional activities including sales support and in-person client engagement. Regions such as Africa, MENA, Caribbean

Qualifications & Skills Required:

● Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
● 3+ years of experience in IT operations, technical coordination, or systems support.
● Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud services.
● Experience working with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk).
● Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead small teams or task groups.

Preferred:

● Experience with ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
● Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
● Exposure to cybersecurity practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
● Project coordination or team leadership experience in a technical environment.
