Job Summary:
A leading organization in the construction industry is seeking a full-time Construction Services Specialist to join their team. This role will involve observing and reviewing assigned construction projects for compliance with engineering plans and specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, maintain, and organize construction documentation.
- Travel to construction project sites to review worksite compliance with engineering plans and specifications.
- Act as a representative on the project site, maintaining strong relationships with contractors and subcontractors.
- Verify design plan accuracy in the field.
- Consult with Contractors and Engineers regarding construction practices, construction reports, and engineering designs.
- Review changes in construction and materials specifications with the Project Manager or Project Engineer.
Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelors of Engineering or Engineering-related program. A Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited curriculum at a four-year college is preferred.
- Knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, procedures, and principles.
- Ability to deal with abstract concepts during actual construction.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical specifications and literature with construction personnel.
- Ability and experience in communicating technical matters relating to the project to the Project Manager and/or Contractors both orally and in writing.
