Our client is seeking a Mechanical Field Services Representative to join our Vancouver and Victoria teams. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Engineering Design team and on-site installation contractors to ensure the mechanical work is performed with precision and quality. Additionally, you’ll play a crucial role in addressing any challenges that arise. Key attributes for this position include creative problem-solving, a proactive approach, and strong skills in communication, organization, and report writing.

Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Conduct on-site evaluations of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building controls, to assess progress and quality of installation.
  • Compile field reports and documentation for construction administration.
  • Perform PEER reviews of mechanical systems related to installation, operation, detailed drawings, and specifications.
  • Act as a company representative in construction meetings with other design professionals.
  • Assist in developing the company’s QA-QC guidelines, design checklists, and related documentation.
  • Communicate any site or design issues to the design team.
  • Adhere to the company’s QA-QC standards and processes to ensure quality goals are achieved.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Trades program or practical on-site experience.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in construction industry, with mechanical background.
  • Minimum Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards.
  • Proficient in reading mechanical, Architectural, Electrical and Structural drawings.
