Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Oil & Gas Sales Representative to help drive pilot adoption and early commercial sales of an energy-harvesting power module used for pipeline monitoring and sensing applications. You’ll work directly with the founder to secure pilot programs with major operators and service companies, and then scale those into long-term commercial agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and convert oil and gas operators and service providers into pilot customers.
- Deliver approximately five pilot commitments within the first twelve months.
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline, from first contact to signed pilot or purchase order.
- Present technical concepts in clear business terms to operations, safety, and engineering teams.
- Attend industry conferences and client meetings within the assigned region.
- Collaborate with the founder and technical team on customer feedback and go-to-market strategy.
- Maintain CRM updates, forecasts, and weekly sales metrics.
Requirements
- Five or more years of B2B sales experience in oil and gas, preferably within equipment, services, monitoring, or IoT solutions.
- Established network with operators or service companies in the region.
- Experience selling technical or hardware-based solutions.
- Proven success in securing pilots and converting them into commercial orders.
- Self-starter who thrives in a startup environment adaptable, resourceful, and hands-on.
- Excellent communicator who can bridge technical and business discussions.
- Willing and able to travel regularly for client meetings and events.
Education
Post-secondary education in business, engineering, or a related field is an asset but not required.
