The Role
We are seeking a Senior PHP developer to upgrade CakePHP code to the latest version. You will be involved in the planning, development, testing, and migrating environments to the new version and support troubleshooting effort.

Duration
3 Months with possible extension

Responsibilities
● Engage with internal teams to design, development, project planning and execution.
● Test and debug new and existing applications to ensure optimal performance.
● Work closely with the team to ensure the migration does not impact the existing in-flight development work and production workload.
● Manage time-sensitive deliverables and meet project deadlines.
● Provide technical support and enhance the system performance based on feedback.
● Maintain strong organizational and communication skills.
● Demonstrate a service-oriented mindset, ensuring user satisfaction and confidence.
● Report to IT management for continuous progress reporting.
● Maintain a positive, go-getter attitude while tackling challenges.

Qualifications & Skills
● A minimum of 5 years of strong experience in application development, specifically with PHP and framework with MVC model. Experience with CakePHP is preferred.
● BSc. in Computer Science or an equivalent technical program
● Strong experiencing in building REST APIs.
● Ability to diagnose and fix performance bottlenecks.
● Effective collaboration with project stakeholders, back-end developers, front-end developers, and QA testers.
● Ability to gather project requirements and implement solutions effectively.
